Equestrian Centre

Festina Lente Equestrian Centre offers equine centred activities to people of all ages, backgrounds, learning abilities and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced rider Festina Lente Equestrian Centre has something for everybody!

Festina Lente Equestrian Centre provides an inclusive environment which fosters each person’s learning and well-being in a supportive, nurturing and fun manner.

From as young as two years of age, children, teenagers and adults can enjoy learning experiences through a variety of our Equestrian Centre lessons, camps & clinics

Victorian Walled Garden

The Festina Lente non profit Walled Victorian Gardens have been loving restored by Festina Lente to their original Victorian design and plans surrounded by the original walls built in the 1780’s.

It is one of the largest working Victorian Walled Garden in Ireland and contains many beautiful features and stunning fauna and flora.

There are three main areas that have been restored all within the original Victorian walls – our Ornamental Formal Garden which includes our Therapeutic Sensory Integration Trail, our Pool Garden & Terrapin Sanctuary & our Working Kitchen Garden where we have a fabulous herbaceous border separating our large number of community allotments which are rented on an annual basis.

Celebrate your child’s birthday with a fun experience and have a birthday party like no other!

Want to do something different for your child’s communion or confirmation?

Here at Festina Lente we offer a variety of nature & craft themed party options. We provide a safe, exciting, educational environment for your child and his or her friends! Our parties come highly recommended from parents and are sure to be the highlight of your child’s celebration. All parties include nature and craft themed hands-on activities led by our Garda vetted staff.

Some of our fun activities include:

Flower Power Pots: Decorate a flower pot with funky materials – crafty, blingy, paint, graffiti, or with poetry! Finally, you can explore the garden’s treasure chest for flower bulbs and seeds to sow in your pots, along with your dreams!

Fantastic Bugs and Wonderful Worms: Want to help our planet spin with bug-packed, plant phizzy and worm wiggly friends? Get ready for a wild adventure: worm searches and bug identification. A hands-on session: Your challenge will be to make amazing homes and mini-gardens for your new wild creature friends to live in – and there will be fascinating natural building materials for you to experiment with.

The Secret Garden – Discover nature on a nature spotting expedition– you will start your journey with a lucky nature dip of clues, armed with bug and plant identification kits, to find your way around the garden to solve a Nature mystery. You will have 60 minutes to search for hidden natural objects dotted around the garden. At the end of the hunt, there will be a reward for whoever finds the strangest garden treasures!

Seed Bombs: Make a dazzling nature blast – collect your favourite flower seeds, create colourful bombs to shower new colours into nature. You will be able to experiment in our secret seed bomb lab using an Irish rainforest of flower species, rainbows of petals, fizzy seed powders– but watch out for the rain, as they might explode!

You’ll have full use of a private chalet in the beautiful surrounding of Festina Lente Walled Victorian Gardens to have food and drinks and of course the cake after our workshops! (We do not include food but you are welcome to bring your own or getting pizzas delivered is also a popular option! ).

You will also have full use of our wonderful gardens to continue with the entertainment. There is a safe and beautiful open space for the children to breathe in the fresh air and be surrounded by nature! We can host children’s parties all year round.
