Fossey Mountain Springs is a Western Riding Ranch located in the beautifully scenic area of Timahoe, Co. Laois. The ranch was dreamt up by a Laois man named Mick LaCumbre, who has a passion for horses and in particular, Western Riding. Hello, and thank you in advance for reading my review I hope you find it useful. My Daughter and I have been attending Fossey Mountain Springs Ranch for a little over a year, and as yet have never had one bad experience come rain shine or snow! Fossey offers western style horseback trail riding and caters for all levels of experience, from no experience at all, to advanced. Michael (the owner) has a wealth of knowledge and skill which could only be described as extraordinary! I also would like to say that each and every rider I have meet in fossey is very helpful and welcoming and willing to help and cater to all levels ensure all have a great riding experience. There are many trails ranging from 1hr to 4hr, over nights, and camp outs, all of which are good fun. The scenery on the trail is magnificent looking right over the midlands for many counties. On returning from the trail Esther (Michaels wife) will be there to welcome you with a hot cuppa, biscuits, and cake, unless you are on one of the long trails where upon arrival you can enjoy a cowboy cookout. To date my daughter and I loved the whole experience!! So with no further ado, a big thank you to all at fossey. James & Hannah

Michael, Esther and their son Cody live and breathe the Western lifestyle and are so much fun. Their enthusiasm and energy levels are through the roof. Highly recommend visiting them for some great fresh-air adventures in the Laois countryside.

Not great, horses are not fully trained for western riding - also 2 hour trail ride only lasted 1.5 hours with lots of backtracking.
