Castle Espie Big Brent Event Mini Explorers

Castle Espie celebrates the return of 80% of the world’s population of Brent Geese following their 2500km journey from Arctic Canada this weekend.

Events take place all weekend but Sunday is aimed at families where people of all ages can learn about the Brent Geese in a fun and exciting way with face painters, music, dancing and more! 

SpudFest

A free fun family day out in Newbridge House, Dublin on Saturday, hosted by Keogh's Farm. There will be Bouncy castles, fun lawn games with prizes, arts & crafts, face painting, BBQ with lots of tasty potato treats, vintage tractors and live music.

Dublin Theatre Festival

The festival continues through the weekend with Dermot Bolger's Ulysses on the Abbey and the Antartic fairytale Melt in Smock Alley.

Poggle, in The Ark on Saturday & Sunday, is a dance theatre piece with live music suitable for children two-five years olds.

Belfast Comedy Festival

The sixth festival is not limited to stand-up comedy but also includes theatre, workshops, seminars, circus, film, quizzes, competitions and events for children.

Slow Food Festival

A two-day food festival in Derry showcasing the best of local, clean, fair food from across the North West with talks, demonstrations, tastings and lots of family fun including a petting farm.

Taste of Lakelands

The Midlands first food festival is on Saturday and Sunday with cookery demonstrations, local food producers and a kids disco on Saturday evening.

Donegal Bay & Bluestacks

A rich and varied programme features contemporary, classical and traditional music, theatre, opera, carnival, visual arts, street arts, literary events, events for children all across the south county.

Wainfest Books

Wainfest is an annual week-long, countywide arts and book festival dedicated to children. There are 119 events organised countywide including workshops, family days, music and stories.

Galway Jazz

There are over forty different events featuring masterclasses, film, a swing dance night, sessions, poetry, panel discussion, a youth ensemble workshop and some amazing performances from Irish and International musicians.

Foxford Trad Festival

The 3rd Foxford Traditional Weekend takes place this weekend in Mayo with traditional Irish music, song & dance for all ages with concerts, master classes, workshops, sean-nós dance competitions, music sessions and lots more.

The Northern Ireland Potato Festival

An annual festival celebrating the humble spud on Saturday with cookery demonstrations & talks, bouncy castles, artisan food and drink producers, crafters, potato inspired games and a petting farm.

Limerick City Gallery of Art

Limerick City Gallery of Art offers a series of art activity sessions for children run by trained artists and facilitators on Saturdays. Ages 5 - 8yrs from 10.30am - 11.30am & 9 - 12yrs from 12pm - 1pm will engage with the exhibits in Limerick City Gallery of Art in a fun and inspiring way. Booking essential as limited class numbers.
