A fun multimedia one-woman show as Carol O’Neill shares her favourite artworks inspired in one way or another by Celtic mythology in the Nenagh Arts Centre on Saturday night. Brigit's Garden

Where better to celebrate St. Brigit's Day than in Brigit's Garden in Galway. On Friday, Oíche Bhríde, enjoy an evening of Brigit traditions with cross-making, music, ritual and reflection. At 2.30pm on Saturday & Sunday, there is a FREE Brigit’s Cross making workshop! Rushes will be provided and you will be able to make your own traditional cross to take home.

Imbolc International Music Festival

The ten-day IMBOLC International Arts Festival starts this weekend with a celebration of music, arts and culture set in Derry’s new Cultural Quarter featuring a mix of live music, art trail, dancing, singing, movies, trad workshops and much more.

Cruinniu Lá Fhéile Bríde | An Táin Arts Centre

A celebration of our matron Saint, Brigid of Faughart, with three different events on Saturday 1st February, starting with a Brigid’s Symbols and Customs Workshop at 11am, a talk with Dolores Whelan at 2:30pm and Gathering under Brigid’s Mantel with poetry, music, story and song at 5pm.

Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year celebrations contiue all weekend with loads of different events including two workshops in the Hugh Lane Gallery on Saturday. Create a decorative lantern or your own colourful dancing Dragon, Rat or Lion puppet. On Sunday, enjoy a Taste of China food tour and sample at least six different regional cuisines right in the heart of Dublin.

Imbolc Festival | Hook Head Lighthouse

Hook Lighthouse will celebrate Imbolc with an exclusive ticketed Sunrise Tour and Food Experience on Saturday morning.
