Croke Park Stadium Tours

First Fortnight Arts Festival

A unique Arts Festival takes place this month, organised by First Fortnight, that helps challenge mental health prejudice through lots of different fun and family events all over Ireland.

The festival runs until January 27th with events around Ireland this weekend including Just Keep Swimming, a wellbeing & resilience workshop this Saturday as part of th Riverbank Arts Centre’s First Fortnight Family Day, The King Who Finds Feelings Confusing and Clowns Without Borders Workshop in The Ark,  Children's Mindfullness Workshops in Naas and Newbridge libraries on Saturday and the inaugural First Fortnight IFI Family Event "Feeling Fine" will be on Sunday 20th starting at 11am (8 yrs +).

First Dail Centenary Tours | Glasnevin Cemetery

This month is the centenary of the First Dáil and, to mark this monumentous occasion in Ireland’s history, Glasnevin Cemetery are running special tours this weekend to share the fascinating stories of twenty-five members of the First Dáil who are buried there.

Baby Jam at Riverbank Arts Centre

BABY JAM is an early introduction to music for babies and toddlers takes place at 11am on the third Friday of January, February and March in the Riverbank Arts Centre. Carrie Haskins, a singer, songwriter and musician from Kildare, uses music to encourage learning such as movement, to explore different textures and sounds, and to introduce different musical instruments.

Free Puppy Playdates

A puupy is not just for Christmas, and you can start the new year introducing your new pet to other puppies and help teach them social skills in a safe environment. The DSPCA Puppy Play dates take place every weekend and are free to join in, but booking must be made in advance.

Dead Zoo Tour

The National Museum of Ireland - Natural History in Dublin have a Dead Zoo Tour on the Saturday 12:00 &  2:00pm. Meet Museum Educator, Geraldine Breen, and discover the science and stories behind the collections on display during this free public highlights tour of the Museum of Natural History.

Family Workshop | Floating Cities

Out to Lunch Arts Festival

The Out to Lunch Arts Festival returns to Belfast for its 14th year of music, comedy, theatre, literature and food from 4-27 January in the Cathedral Quarter in Belfast. Events this weekend include Bab's Broadway Brunch on Friday, The Dodge Brothers on Saturday and Lucy Porter on Sunday.

Akumakon

One of the largest Anime and Manga conventions in Ireland and run by students of NUI Galway to raise money for charity. Featuring panels, traders, artists, video games, special events and, of course, cosplay, the family-friendly events start with free entry on Friday and paid entry at the door on Saturday and Sunday.

Shannonside Winter Music Weekend

The 20th Shannonside Winter Music Festival takes place from 17th - 19th with 70 events across 15 venues featuring different musical genres, with Concerts, Sessions, Set Dancing & Poetry in venues around the adjoining villages of Sixmilebridge & Bunratty.

Dublin Youth Orchestra's Annual Concert

DYO consists of four separate orchestras with a total of 400 players between the ages of 9 and 21 - the Junior Strings Orchestra, Intermediate Orchestra, Concert Orchestra and the Symphony Orchestra will all perform on the main stage at the National Concert Hall this Saturday evening.

Children's Creative Writing Workshop | National Botanic Gardens

Caoimhe Creed will lead you through the process of crafting a story inspired by the Botanic Gardens. Nature and plants have enlivened much of literature and there are many amazing stories represented in the Gardens’ collections. The workshop on Sunday is free but booking is required
