A selection of events taking place in Ireland this weekend.

The Enchanted Fairy & Elf Festival

Dust off your fairy wings and fancy dress costumes and help raise €30,000 in one weekend for Sensational Kids by supporting The Enchanted Fairy & Elf Festival at Rathwood.

A fun family day has been organised on Saturday and Sunday with loads of entertainment and activities.  All proceeds from this event will be donated to Sensational Kids. and help provide vital affordable and accessible Early Intervention & Assessment services, such as speech & language and occupational therapy.

The Great Pink Run Dublin & Great Pink Run Kilkenny

The 6th annual Great Pink Run will take place in The Phoenix Park on Saturday, 9th September 2017 at 10am and in the grounds of Kilkenny Castlonin Sunday, 10th September at 12pm. Each entrant can participate in either a 10km or a 5km. It's not a race and you can run, jog or walk around the course. Last year, 6,000 people raised €230,000 to help fund breast cancer research in Ireland and organisers are hoping the beat those numbers this year.

Airfield Estate Festival of Food

Engage with local food producers and enjoy the very best of Irish food and drink over a weekend packed with fun activities for all the family all based around the theme Food Literacy: Unearthing the Knowledge Gap.

Waterford Harvest Festival

Three days of fun foodie activities for all in Waterford...not to be missed! There are loads of events and activities lined up for all ages including demonstrations, talks, tastings and a Junior HQ with fun activities for children.

Dingle Trad Fest

The 7th Dingle Trad Fest takes place from the 8th-10th of September with host a series of concerts, session trail and dance workshops.

Camogie All-Ireland Finals Croke Park

Kilkenny may win regular hurling titles but last year's camogie victory was the first All-Ireland for the County since 1994. They hope to retain the title in a repeat of last year's final against a strong Cork side, featuring in their fourth consecutive final having tasted victory in 2014 & 2015. 

Dunmore Gardens Harvest Fair

The traditional walled garden and Georgian Country house dates back to 1742 and is a perfect location for a Harvest Fair. On the day, expect a fun filled line up of artisan food makers, craft producers, street food vendors, kids activities, music and a craft beer festival.

Glenties Harvest Fair

The Glenties hosts and entertains locals and visitors with a fun festival featuring live music, games, entertainment, stalls and even an appearance from the Crafty Cockney, Darts legend Eric Bristow.

Strokestown Show

Celebrating its 151st year, the Annual Strokestown Agricultural & Industrial Show takes place over two days in the grounds of Strokestown Park and The Irish National Famine Museum in Roscommon. There will be plenty of competitions and events over the both days including Best Dressed Lady and Glamorous Granny Competitions.

Feast

Feast, formerly the Midleton Food and Drink Festival continues over the weekend, bringing together a mouth-watering array of food produced by local growers in the region as well as some treats from further a field. But it's not just the food; there will also be balloon artists, jugglers, stilt-walkers, face painters, puppet shows, live music and much more.

Clonaslee Show

The first Clonaslee show was held on November 1st, 1948 and continues to be popular with competitions, entertainment, exhibitions, excitement and family fun.

Carnival of Colours

The 10th annual two-day circus, music and arts festival in St.Columb's Park, Derry/ Londonderry with circus and street theatre shows, walkabout characters, music for local artists, arts and crafts, dance and circus workshops, storytelling, carnival games and much more.

12th Lock Harvest Festival

A fantastic fun-filled festival with a food village, vintage stalls, arts and crafts, face painting and lots more in Castleknock this weekend.

Elemental Festival

The Limerick Arts and Culture Festival returns after a break this year. This year's event includes more child-friendly events with workshops from Jim Parkyn of Aardman animation studio and family performance from local theatre group Lumen.

Dublin Fringe Festival

This September the city will be transformed with more than 400 events taking place in over 30 venues including various buildings and outdoor spaces.

A Taste of West Cork

The 2017 A Taste of West Cork Food Festival will take place from 8th to 17th September 2017, with over 230 events taking place from Bandon to Beara.

Laughter Lounge | Bulmers Comedy Festival

It might be September but there's no need for the long face.

Bulmers and the Laughter Lounge have announced the return of the Bulmers Comedy Festival this weekend. This post-summer spectacular will feature a tremendous line-up of at least 16 top comedians, from both Ireland and further afield.
