Winter Woolly Walk
Our family-friendly Winter Woolly Walk is back and we would love to see you wrap up warm and step out once again to support of local families living with cancer. It’s time to rally the family, gather your friends, and join us for a beautiful walk in aid of Cancer Fund for Children.
On Saturday 23rd February we have 4 picturesque walks for you to choose from. Each walk ranges from 2 to 4 miles and is, as always, suitable for the whole family.
Walkers are free to stroll leisurely or you can walk as briskly as you wish – just as long as everyone is having fun!
Warming refreshments will be provided at the end to warm your hands along with some fun family activities for the kids while you sit and relax.
- DRUM MANOR FOREST PARK, COOKSTOWN
- GOSFORD FOREST PARK, MARKETHILL
- SIR THOMAS & LADY DIXON PARK, BELFAST
- TOLLYMORE FOREST PARK, NEWCASTLE
By taking part in one of our Winter Woolly Walks, you will be helping us provide practical, emotional and financial support. Our support is not just focused on the young person but is built around the whole family. Our team of Cancer Support Specialists help families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives, supporting them through life during and after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
We receive less than 0.5% government funding and rely on the generosity of the local community to help us offer a lifeline of support to these families.
How can I register?
It costs just £5 per adult to register and £2 per child.
In 2019 we are aiming to raise £20,000 through our walks and hope that you will help us to do this by aiming to raise £30 sponsorship per family. All the money you raise will help us be there for even more families affected by cancer.
