Red Moon Creative Arts Theatre ‘explorers of the imagination’ Creative Arts Summer Camp 2021 Join us for four fabulously creative mornings that include Drama, Story-Making, Costume- Making and Art. Children from 7-12/13 years welcome Fee: €65 (small reduction for siblings) Weather/Permission permitting we may be able to present the children’s work live for family members at 1pm on the last day (Friday) of each camp in The Orchard Peace Park, adjacent to The Presentation Arts Centre. The performance will last approx. 10-15 minutes. However, if this is not possible, we will be providing families with a free DVD of the performance, recorded in our ‘Summer Camp Bubble’ from the auditorium on the final day. What We Do. The children collaborate in a story-making session to create their very own epic tale. Then they draw and paint scenes and characters from their imaginings to help visualise and develop the themes of the piece. Then they improvise scenes and scenarios through various drama techniques; improvisation, role-play, character development exercises and more. Then they design and create a costume for their own awe-inspiring character. They play, practice and rehearse for the presentation andthen, on the final day, they perform their epic theatrical story concluding in a 10-minute standing ovation and earth-shattering applause!! Not to mention great fun with drama games and exercises and a ‘print your own t-shirt’ session. What To Bring… Water (no fizzy drinks, please!) A nourishing snack for break time (these guys will need the energy!) Clothes that are ok to paint in (a favourite out-fit might not survive!) A white T-shirt for the ‘print your own t-shirt’ bit. Loads of ideas!! :D Things to Know… Covid 19 Government Guidelines will be strictly adhered to for the duration of the Summer Camp – please see attached policy. If your child is unable to attend after booking a place, please inform The Presentation Arts Centre as soon as you are aware. A cancellation fee will apply (€10) and the remainder will be refunded in full.
