Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival
Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival, brought to you by Trim Tourism Network, takes place Sunday, August 26th, the last day of Heritage Week.
The festival is a celebration of the river Boyne and its significant role in Ireland’s past both fictional and factual. It is set against the magnificent backdrop of Trim Castle and will showcase cultural, historical and sporting activities both local and throughout the Boyne Valley.
Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival, a FREE festival of music, dramatic performances incorporating the mythical story of the Salmon of Knowledge from the River Boyne, arts/crafts, culture, Boyne Valley Food producers and much more.
It’s set to be a fun day, packed full of entertainment for all the family. We start the day off with the Boyne Adventure Race, followed by some early morning Yoga by Peter Walsh Yoga to set you right for the day ahead. Trim Salmon of Knowledge Festival is part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of Race Around Ireland, part of the National Heritage Week and Discover Boyne Valley Flavours celebrations.
The festival has been shortlisted in the 2018 All Ireland Community and Council Awards under the heading of Arts/Culture.
The event is funded by sponsorship, local fundraising, local representatives, Meath County Council, Failte Ireland and Boyne Valley Tourism and is supported by our team of volunteers, local groups/clubs/societies, businesses, other volunteers, the OPW, local representatives, Meath County Council and Boyne Valley Tourism.
