Parent-and-child Make a Bird Box Workshop
Spring is around the corner and our birds will soon be starting to look for the perfect nesting sites.
One of the best parts of spring is watching birds arrive in your garden, set up their nests and watch as they raise their brood. Having a bird nesting box is a great way of attracting birds into your garden. Bird boxes provide a safe place for birds to build their nests and raise their young protected from the elements and predators.
Join Dave from the Rediscovery Centre for a family-friendly workshop to make your own bird nesting box from reclaimed wooden pallets. Learn a new skill and attract wildlife to your garden. During this fantastic workshop, parents and children will work together to build and construct your own bird box, with guidance from our expert. The workshop includes all materials and information on how to put up your bird box before the start of the breeding season.
